"The third princess of the Vallegarda Empire, Berseria Vallegarda!" Berseria answered the questioning voice. "Berseria!?" Hearing that voice, an unarmed man appeared. From his appearance, it was clear that he had left his sword and armor, which were only useful as weights, in order to escape from the Keystone Beast. "Why are you here!? Aren't you supposed to be in Braidea...!?" His eyes looked as if he had seen something unbelievable.
It must be hard to believe that his younger sister, who is a rival for the throne, is here. "What are you doing here?! Have you come to laugh at my ugly appearance." He spoke with certainty, not with a question. "I'm not in a position to have that much free time. I've come to save my brother." "To save me? You're being very condescending." He spat out the words in an irritated tone, not even trying to hide his displeasure.
"So, what wonderful way will my sister save us, helpless, ugly, and ridiculous people? Surely it's not something as uncertain as praying to God? Even if you were to bring an army, anything less than a full force would only serve to increase the number of corpses."
He snorted sarcastically.
It seemed he barely had any spirit left. Berseria's answer to that question was...
