Hero Manufacturing Machine Interlude - Those Who Disturb the World - 13

We mounted our horses and galloped off like the wind. I looked at Berseria. Just as I had asked beforehand, there didn't seem to be any problems. As expected of a princess, horse riding seemed to be a piece of cake for her. No longer concerned, I rode my horse without hesitation. Gallop. Gallop. Just galloping continuously. We had to rush to our destination as quickly as possible.

We continued riding with all our might.

"Let's take a rest soon." As the horses started to show signs of fatigue, I suggested. "Yeah." Berseria agreed.

I didn't really need to rest, but that wasn't the case for Berseria and the horses. I prepared water and food for the horses and cast a healing spell on Berseria while she was resting.

She's not injured, and only needs to recover her strength, so it doesn't take long. "I see. Healing magic is really useful. Can anyone use it as long as they have the magical power?" "Some frontline workers can use it at beginner level. However, it’s rare for those who are not professionals to reach the intermediate level or above." Healing magic is basically only available to those who have faith in God. It's definitely not a magic that a scoundrel can use.

"It seems there are churches that take not-so-cheap 'donations', claiming it as the price for performing God’s miracles."

"Forcing people to donate is prohibited in Braidea, though. I'm sure there are other countries that do that." In exchange, facilities that are deemed to be of national interest receive a lot of subsidies from the country. Our kingdom is well-equipped in that regard.

"Is it okay if you don't cast healing magic on yourself, Lord Eucharlouch?" Berseria asks, noticing that I don't use healing magic on myself. "I often stay in dungeons for days. Riding a horse is not enough to tire me out." "You're not as gentle as you look. I've never seen a tougher man than you."

"You're quite impressive yourself, Berseria. Usually, princesses are a lot more selfish." "I've been through a fair bit of training, after all. I'm confident that I won't starve to death so easily." "That's very encouraging." I remember the word "camping" coming up in a conversation with her earlier. Despite her delicate appearance, she's a sturdy princess.

"Shall we have something light to eat?" "Yes." I take out some portable food and a little water. Berseria seems to be familiar with this, so I didn't have to go out of my way to say anything. After making sure the horses have finished eating, I cast healing magic on them as well. "Okay, that's enough talking. Let's hurry."

After a short rest, we set off again.

No matter how much healing magic I cast, we can't keep riding the same horse forever. We changed horses every so often, heading straight for our destination. After riding many horses, Berseria and I finally arrived at our destination.
